Ayanfe Njeri's Bio

Ayanfe Njeri Emanuel is a senior at the Washington County
Technical High School. She is currently finishing her last year in
the Health Occupations program. In June Ayanfe will graduate and will
be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). In the fall of 2005 she is
planning to attend Hagerstown Community College to pursue a career
as a paramedic. She is also considering going to college a few more
years to obtain her RN.
She runs both indoor and outdoor track for Williamsport
High School. Ayanfe attended the National Nursing Forum in Boston,
MA. in the spring of 2004. She was one of one-hundred students selected
to attend the Conference in the United States. Because of her participation
in the forum Ayanfe is a National Alumni Delegate.
Ayanfe is certified in CPR and First Aid as well as
Career Safety. In March she will be competing in a Skills USA competition
in First Aid and CPR. Ayanfe is her Health Occupations class representative
and was on the homecoming count at her school. Throughout the years
Ayanfe has been active in community service mainly as a counselor
for summer camps. Ayanfe is currently working at the Washington County
Hospital as a student worker and obtaining her internship for her
CNA.
